About

Hi I’m Jennifer Cabala, and I’m the co-founder of Startup Foundation in Seattle – the sister organization to Startup Weekend. The Startup Foundation creates and implements programs that help early-stage entrepreneurs.

My current role is built on my experience working with tech entrepreneurs. Prior to co-founding the Startup Foundation I headed marketing and business development for Startup Weekend, handling all strategic partnerships and setting the tone for working with 30,000 Startup Weekend alumni. I managed the most widely read web resource focused on the tech startup community in Seattle — Seattle 2.0 (since acquired by GeekWire).  I’ve organized StartupDay, an event for tech pre-entrepreneurs, Deploy, a tech innovation conference and the Seattle 2.0 Startup Awards.

I also sit on the board of Social Media Club Seattle and am active with a number of groups around entrepreneurship. I still travel to facilitate Startup Weekends around the world.  You can contact me messaging me on twitter @jennifercabala.

Prior to this I worked as a television news anchor and reporter, most recently in Seattle.  My most famous clip was filmed in 2007 but will probably live on the internet forever.
